So you’ve skipped Mi 3 and Redmi 1S because you wanted a larger-screen smartphone. Well, Xiaomi Malaysia has good news for you. It will debuting the Redmi Note phablet officially at 12pm tomorrow, July 22nd, 2014, at its Mi.com site.
Vinot and I had the pleasure to meet Hugo Barra last month, where he has given us all the details you need to know about both the Redmi Note, and the Redmi 1S that was on sale since two weeks ago.
Redmi Note’s pricing was later revealed to be RM509, which is actually just RM90 more than the Redmi 1S. This actually made me wonder why would anyone settle with the 1S, when the Note has better hardware in every respect, and is not any more expensive.
Xiaomi will only be releasing 5,000 units of the Redmi Note tomorrow, so you guys who’re interested, might want to stand by over at Mi.com before 12pm, for they will all be sold out in no time.
Besides the phone, there will also be 10,000 units of the 10400mAh Power Bank, and 5,000 units of the smaller 5200mAh Power Bank. I’m guessing the Mi 3 and Redmi 1S will also make an appearance.
